Worcestershire based potter, Matt Grimmitt specialises in functional slipware suitable for daily use. With a passion for early country pots, he keeps tradition alive whilst adding a contemporary twist. Each piece is wheel-thrown with disciplined precision, other than the press moulded dishes, which go through a different making process to achieve the results, which quietly match the traditional slipware dishes, which were made all over the UK going back centuries.
Matt spent over a decade working as the general manager and production potter at Winchcombe Pottery and is the Great Great Grandson of Elijah Comfort, who worked alongside Michael Cardew at Winchcombe from 1926 until his retirement.

Slipware is dishwasher safe, but not microwave safe. It is preferable to clean slipware with good old fashioned dish soap and water, which helps to minimise damage or chipping.
