FuturePrimitive Soap Co. was born out of a passion for old-fashioned remedies & skincare preparations and was founded by Tiggy Fiander in June 2006. In 2007 we launched our line of traditional, handmade soap. We infused, we macerated, we made decoctions. We incorporated absolutes, essential oils, resinous materials and wood infusions into our soaps to add depth and mystery. Our inspirations for our products are conjured from old English towns, cities and people as well as our beautiful rural surroundings at the foot of the Cotswold hills. We have a small shop, which we affectionately refer to as 'The Workhouse', which is situated in Vine Mews, Evesham, Worcestershire.
Scent conjuring is Tiggy's absolute passion.
She is always equipped with pad & pen in the likely event that a new blend may appear in the depths of her mind.
The Victorian era in particular has provided her with the passion and inspiration to create her hand-blended scents, her concentrations based mainly around old Apothecary shops, grocers on old street corners and other such establishments from this bygone era.
The ingredients we source from outside the UK are mostly Fair Trade.
We buy our Shea & Cocoa butter from a co-operative in Ghana, and all of the sugar used in our body scrubs comes from small scale growers in Belize.
We use PREP™ palm in our soap, which is sourced via a member of the RSPO.
In our spare time, we like to walk for miles across the local countryside or take trips down to the Cornish coast.
