Dark Carnival was originally created for one of our Halloween product releases, and it fast became a customer favourite so we made it a general catalogue scent. With inspiration coming from one of beloved favourite films (Something Wicked This Way Comes), the aroma is rich with gourmand notes with a slightly dark edge. It's quite a warming scent, which envelops you in a cosy haze.

Scent Characteristics: A curious carnival cart offering sweet treats. Honeycomb drizzled with warm caramel sauce, newspaper cones filled with hot sugared walnuts, fresh coconuts from the shy and a velvet pouch filled with nuggets of amber & tonka bean.

Net wt: e 5ml

Available as an Eau de Parfum (see listing)

Ingredients: Caprylic/Capric triglyceride, Parfum (fragrance), Benzyl salicylate, Coumarin.

Gorgeous and intoxicating

I've bought a lot from Future Primitive, and whilst everything smells amazing, this is probably my favourite. This perfume is a rich mixture of gourmand scents but it's never overpowering. It lasts well through the day and is a warm, comforting scent. I'll definitely be buying this again!

Cosy in a bottle.

This is a warm and delicious scent that is so very cosy and sexy. Invokes a vision of the highest quality delectables from a posh patisserie. While it is definitely gourmand in its DNA, I do not find it to be overly sweet at all, Dark Carnival is perfectly balanced. It is my fav oil to apply before bedtime as it is so comforting. I own this in oil and hair rinse form and would love to add more from this range to my FP collection.

I like it

I'm a noob when it comes to perfumes (I only own this one because all drugstore perfumes smell almost the same to me) but here's how I, and people who I asked to smell my wrist would describe it: It's coconut with vanilla, but not like the cheap fake coconut, it smells more like proper, rich coconut scent with some vanilla. Or vanilla with coconut, not sure.
It's a pretty sweet perfume, but not like you dipped your hand in sugar sweet, it still has a certain depth to it so it's really pleasant. Fades nicely, I'm really happy I bought it and I like using it. I'm not yet sure if this is going to be my staple perfume but I will definitely use up the whole bottle and see from there.
Everything shipped/arrived quickly and was beautifully and safely packaged, the seller is really cool.

Sex on the Brain

Dark Carnival. Oh my Hello! One of my newest favorite scents! Any product with this fragrance blend will make you have some type of feelings and dreams. I use products with this scent at night and woke up thinking of how I would describe the perfume.

It's a dusky evening! The smell of glistening gold and amber in the dry air. Mixed in is a sweet toasty sugar with a hint of warmed vanilla. There is a slight musk that makes you feel almost animalistic and tingly. Restrained muscles, clean linen. What a memory this aroma will entice!

Yummy

I feel warm and delectable wearing this oil, and like a high end confectionery shop where every purchase is tied up with hand woven satin ribbons in co-ordinated colours, and the notices are written in impeccable calligraphy.
