Make Your Own Soap

Soap is fundamentally a salt, produced by combining oils and butters with sodium hydroxide (commonly known as lye). The ingredients are carefully blended into a smooth batter, poured into moulds, and left to set overnight before being cut into bars. Once cured for 4–6 weeks, the soap is ready to use. Extended curing time creates a harder, longer-lasting bar with a rich, creamy lather.
