Description
Incantation was created many moons ago with the intention of creating a heavy, deep perfume with a good helping of Labdanum oil. Labdanum oil is extracted from the Cistus ladanifer (rock rose) and smells rich and intoxicating with an otherworldy characteristic.
It's been used in medicine for colds, coughs and rheumatism for centuries. It is antimicrobial, antiseptic, and astringent. One of the early aromatic substances of the ancient world, Labdanum is a very dark, sticky, resinous oil that has to be diluted in order to incorporate it into perfume. It's also responsible for the colour of our perfume oil.
If you like your scents on the darker, stranger side, this one may be for you.
SCENT CHARACTERISTICS: A bewitching haze of labdanum absolute, patchouli oil, white sandalwood accord, a twist of green bergamot and droplets of Italian cypress.
