At FuturePrimitive Soap Co. we use the very best ingredients we can lay our hands on. Our handmade soap is made by us, from scratch, with a combination of skin-loving vegetable oils, which include Coconut, Sustainably harvested Palm, Extra Virgin Olive oil and Vitamin E-rich Sunflower oil. We infuse our oils with Fair Trade butters to add extra nourishment and moisturising properties.

Our soaps do not and will not ever contain SLS or any other harsh foaming agents.
Our soap has been formulated to give a thick, creamy lather, which will not dry out the skin.  Each batch retains all of the glycerine, which is naturally produced when making handmade soap.
Ever wondered why some shop bought soaps make your skin dry out very quickly?  This is because the glycerine has been removed and sold as a bi-product and the remaining soap has been pressed to within an inch of it's life to form a shaped bar.
Try cutting a factory produced bar and you will notice layer upon layer of hard soap, which flakes apart as the knife makes its way through.
Try cutting a bar of FP soap and your knife will glide through it like fudge!

Our Bubbling Sugar Buff contains coconut-derived foaming agents, natural butters and skin-softening agents, which are gentle and will not strip your skin of it's natural oils. We also use a very high, pharmaceutical grade Propylene Glycol, which helps to trap moisture in the skin and also offers stability in the finished product. Whilst there is some scare-mongering about this ingredient, our customers should be made aware that there are different formulations of Propylene glycol, some of which are not so pure as the one that we source. For more info please refer to this article - http://www.litejoy.co.uk/blog/e-liquids/electronic-cigarette-ingredients-what-is-propylene-glycol Whilst we are aware of what is written all over the internet about Propylene Glycol we are confident that the type we use is completely safe. We are, however, researching a new ingredient on the market, which is derived from Corn and has been introduced by the manufacturers, Tate and Lyle. We will be trialling this new ingredient over the course of the next few months and will keep everybody updated via our blog and newsletter as well as our Facebook page.

Our Body Whip is jam-packed full of goodness. We use a combination of Meadowfoam seed oil, Extra Virgin Olive oil, Vitamin E-rich Sunflower oil and Mango butter to inject the skin with a shot of moisture, and we use Pro-Vitamin B5 to help retain water levels in the skin. We do not use PEG's, Sulfates or Silicones because quite frankly, there really is no need.

Our Olfactory Bathing Grains are made with 2 types of salt (Dead Sea Salt and Epsom) to help relax and soothe tired muscles. To these salts we add pure essential oils and some fine fragrances. To keep the salts dry we use a special type of Tapioca starch, which also helps to keep the fragrance of the oils locked inside, which in turn will infuse your bath water with a strong (but safe) level of scent.

Where we say we use pure essential oils and plant extracts, we mean just that. Unlike some of the more well-known companies, we don't just use a tiny amount so that we can have the ingredient appear on the label! When we use these naturally occuring ingredients we use them at levels that can truly make a difference to the product and your senses.

Product safety is key and we are committed to constant research. We work closely with our Cosmetics Assessors to always offer the very best product we can formulate. If any new ingredients appear on the market we take it upon ourselves to test them thoroughly before using them in any of our formulations.

We will always do our very best to keep you updated with as much information as we can give (without giving away our formulations!) and we are open to any questions you may have.
If you have any concerns whatsoever please use our contact form to send us a message and we will reply as soon as we are able.
